Z-Day is March 15th 2009

Zeitgeist Day or what is being called “Z-Day” for short, is the annual gathering of millions of peoplew who consider themselves part of “The Zeitgeist Movement”.

Public and private showings of the films: “Zeitgeist”, “Zeitgeist Addendum” and Peter Joseph’s latest work entitled: “The Zeitgeist Movement: Orientation Presentation” will be viewed by both new and old eyes alike.

The film below (The Zeitgeist Movement: Orientation Guide) is Peter’s initiative to clarify and give the basic overview of the tenets, philosophy and goals of the Zeitgeist Movement for all who participate on March 15th.

Peter’s video presentation which I have embedded below has been extracted from Peter’s “Activist Orientation Guide”, which is available for free at http://www.TheZeitgeistMovement.com.

DISCLAIMER: Few who read this are likely to make it through the entire 90 minutes of the presentation below.

Why?

It takes a very strong truth seeking mind to desire the depth of awareness this presentation requires as it puts into question most, if not all, of our current socioeconomic structures and beliefs about the way things “are”.

Once this information has been viewed, it will without question be a challenge to remain open minded enough to fully comprehend and further research as I plan to, the ramifications and possibility of what would need to take place for a world like this to come into being.

I’m into weird things like this (I don’t consider them weird at all really) for many years, and hope you find value in what the film has to offer.

Could it be possible that “the conscious delegation of decision making to computers is the next phase of social evolution”?

As Peter says in the presentation:

“With the progress of technology today we have the ability to create a new social system that can allow all people access to the necessities of life without a price tag, debt or servitude.”

The film concludes by reminding us of how all the great religious and secular philosophers alike have constantly advocated peaceful unified ideals for humanity since the beginning of antiquity:

Christianity: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”
Buddhism: “Putting oneself in the place of another, one should not kill nor cause another to kill”
Confucianism: “Never impose on others what you would not choose for yourself”
Hinduism: “One should never do that to another which one regards as injurious to one’s own self”
Islam: “Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you”
Judaism: “The stranger who resides with you shall be to you as one of your citizens; you shall love him as yourself”
Taoism: “Regard your neighbors gain as your own gain, and your neighbors loss as your own loss”

Yet these ideals have not taken root.

“It’s now time we put these principles into practice” by embracing a resource based economy says Peter, and I fully agree.

The film ends with the following quote (which I fully embrace): “Science and Technology Are Divinity In Action”

Consider the possibilities of living in a new world… one that is without the monetary system and in it’s place is a “Resource Based Economy” as you watch the following presentation by Peter Joseph:

(And while your listening consider if you think what I thought (and am still thinking): “Who Goes First” in transitioning OUT of our current monetary system? Someone has to go first. Who will it be? Feel free to leave a comment here on the blog).

Enjoy the new awareness!

Zeitgeist, Zeitgeist Addendum & The Zeitgeist Movement

Zeitgeist was released online by the creator/producer Peter Joseph for free on Google video on June 26, 2007 and has since been translated into several languages. For a time it reached the top of the chart of “most viewed” videos available through Google video.

If you’ve not yet seen “Zeitgeist” or it’s sequel “Zeitgeist Addendum” I highly recommend you kick back and watch both movies.  Whether you agree or believe the content of the films, it sure addresses some serious issues and allows us to be more informed citizens capable of playing a more active role in the evolution of our species.

Visit the Zeitgeist Movement online by clicking here.

Here is a short preview of the 2nd film “Zeitgeist Addendum”.
